This was such a fun read! Jo’s restack brought me here and I really enjoyed it.
Curious if you’ve tried Loving Tan? I’m going to a wedding next weekend and need a good tanner. I liked St Tropez years ago, but I’m not sure if it’s changed
Thank you so much Emily for mentioning my article, A 90s Kind of Summer, you’ve made my day!! And a big yes, it’s definitely something we all need right now ☺️
I really enjoyed reading The Sunday Scroll and all of the different articles that you shared, what a brilliant idea and super inspiring!
I'm shocked about the tanning thing! As a kid I always used to tan really easily from our time spent on a boat, but after one bad sunburn I never tanned the same again. And I never really tried. When we lived in the midwest I'm like there is no reason for me to be tan when I live here and it's carried over when we moved to FL. I'm pale and it's ok. I try to hide from the sun now. LOL
I am shocked by younger generations tanning, too. We are at the beach this week (in Watercolor, not far from you!) and I saw some young college women applying baby oil while laying out. I was shocked and horrified.

God of the Woods took me a while to get into it too! Keep going! It’s worth it!!!
I just finished The Burning Side and it was incredible. Hope you enjoy it!
Aww thanks for including my post!
