Finally. A cookbook for the rest of us. š If youāre like me and you donāt totally enjoy the complex process of planning, cooking, feeding, and cleaning up that goes into mealtimes, then this book is for you.
In fact, it was written by someone just like you, with YOU in mind. Life is busy. Afternoons are stressful. But I still want to get something delicious on the table so I can fill my belly, feed my family, and spend some time with the people I love most.
And so⦠we must cook. Years ago, this conversation started as a joke⦠āGuys,ā I said to my team, āI should write a cookbook. Because then it would be different than all the rest collecting dust in my kitchen. Itād be simple, easy to follow, and organized. Itād be mostly picky eater approved. It wouldnāt call for any crazy ingredients I canāt pronounce. Itād be⦠Simplified.ā
And here we are!!
As of an hour ago, The Simplified Cookbook: Effortless Prep and Delicious Meals became an instant Amazon bestseller EIGHT MONTHS before it releases! And of all things, in the CASSEROLE RECIPE category! My grandma in heaven from Montgomery, Alabama (who had to feed five kids, a husband, and half the church on Wednesday nights) is doing backflips, I just know it! (Side note: pretty sure thereās not a single casserole in this cookbook, short of Chicken Pot Pie with Biscuits, but Amazon categorization is a story for another day). For now, we celebrate!
Thank you all for your DMs and your kind comments and well wishes during this adventure. Iām so happy I can finally share the cover with you. Pre-orders mean everything to authors and it would mean the world to me if youād pre-order one for yourself, your sister, and your hair dresser. š
Though pre-orders are available now, the book is still very much a work in progress. (Weird how that works). We are in the final design phases and I canāt wait to show you more of the process behind the scenes ā plus all the goodness in the pages of this book: 60 recipes, 60 assembly meals, a resource section with lots of tips / tricks / gadgets, and short essays from me about how to manage the tricky parts of kitchen life (like what to do when you have to spend your whole evening Kid-ubering⦠you know).
Love,
Emily
