Happy Sunday, friends! How was your week? We’ve been battling flu season HARD in our house. 🫠 Thankfully it’s gone now, but everything on my To-Do list that I’d put on pause has been screaming for my attention. That’s just life, isn’t it? Sometimes it’s on the rails. Sometimes it’s off the rails. (And when mine goes off the rails, I make myself IG carousels to remind myself what I need to do to push through and get back to a more manageable normal.)

But for now, I think we’ve earned a little reading time, don’t you?

  1. Let people in. More and more, I’m realizing community is something that I want in my life — even when it’s not the convenient thing to do. Because apps aren’t going to catch you when something bad happens or give you a hug when something good does. People will, though.

  2. How to be a joiner. Wondering how to build that community you want? Join things! Show up! Sometimes it’s just that easy. I LOVED this interview about the Los Angeles Breakfast Club. What a fun group to be part of. (PS: this was written and posted before the LA Fires 💔)

  3. White Chicken Enchiladas: a recipe so easy, my 9-year-old can make it! Seven ingredients, including shredded chicken you don’t have to cook yourself. Win! This one’s coming in The Simplified Cookbook. (Also, please enjoy my pretend cooking show with Caroline. Because we sure did. 😂)

  4. When you’re flying, does turbulence give you anxiety? Bookmark this tip. This is actually kind of genius, tbh. (Also, airplane wings are built to be flexible, so they can withstand turbulence. The more you know!)
