Sunday Scroll #108
A cozy Fall edit, 8 autumn getaways, why you stress about money (+ how not to), plus the dreamiest AD home tour
Welcome to Sunday—and almost fall! I don’t know about you, but I am SO ready for cool breezes, creamy soups, and crackling fires. Football is already here, it’s time for the temps to drop. Bring on fall!
In the meantime, let’s go for a scroll.
Is this AD tour of Michelle Dockery’s London townhouse (aka Downton Abbey’s Lady Mary) one of my favorite tours ever? I think so! It’s the perfect combo of polished yet comfortable, and feels like a space you’d actually want to live in. And of course, I love all the little nods to her dog, Alfie, throughout the space.
Want to be more productive? The easiest productivity hack I’ve found is “dopamine anchoring.” (Bonus: it’s one you might already do sometimes! Talk about easy to incorporate.)
I’ve got my eye on this Sausage, Kale, and White Bean Soup from Pinch of Yum. Have any of y’all made it? Looks sooooo good for soup season. And easy! (Should I do another Simplified Cookbook, but just for soups??)
Are you anxious about money? Do you compulsively check your bank balance, or have savings put away and still feel like you’re one emergency away from disaster? Did you know our earliest relationships shape our relationship with money? This essay, written by a therapist named Annie Wright, was such an eye-opener for me. And why, if you’ve ever tried to work on your money mindset using generic business books, they might not have worked for you. In her post, Annie also shares a healing technique you can do today to lessen your financial anxiety. If you read anything this week, this is a good one.
