Introvert nooks, Blockbuster Friday nights, and a pasta hack to try ASAP
What a WEEK! On Friday night, my boys were out of town together (B took them to the Lakers vs. Grizzlies game!) and Caroline was spending the night at her bestie’s house. I was home ALONE. When I tell you I didn’t know what to do with myself… so I did what an normal mom-gone-wild would do and door dashed sushi, cleaned the kitchen, and read a book. I slept TWELVE hours. It was glorious. I hope your weekend was full of some magic too!
When your husband builds you an Introvert Nook. For when you love your family . . . but you also love quiet time. 🙋🏻♀️ This is dream.
This is 56-and-a-Half. I love these Oldster questionnaires more than I can say—basking in the wisdom and joy of other people's experiences is so life-giving. Author Karen Walrond's responses stretched my heart in all the best ways. Aging isn't something to fear; there are so many gifts that come when we continue to transform.
Chef Julia Turshen says that Powerlifting transformed her life and "I'm no longer afraid to take up space." GET IT, JULIA. 💪 Her story inspired me so much! THIS.
Inside the biggest art fraud in history. I couldn't stop reading this. The amount of twists and turns this case takes is bananas (no spoilers, but it involves a band you loved in the '90s).
