Sunday Scroll #25
Sleepy time mocktails, a fix for dry skin, and the right kind of busy
Hello friends! Happy Sunday. I’m writing you from Atlanta. I could write a novel on the traffic here. But I will spare you the details of our one hour drive to go one mile. Yes, ONE mile. Hope you enjoy today’s Sunday Scroll. xo
The Right Kind of Busy. This Substack essay made me think for days. My favorite line: "I don’t want to hold up my busyness as a shield. I want to figure out how to balance the abundance, which includes working to find better language to describe why I might have to decline something, why and how I might need help to get something done, and why commitments to myself, my friends, my body, and my community hold just as much weight as commitments to the work I do for pay." Seriously, give it a read.

Quick Weeknight Meal: Sticky Honey Chicken with Coconut Rice. We all know Bri McKoy can do no wrong in the kitchen, and she's given us another weeknight winner. Here's a hack: get a packet of "heat up in the microwave" jasmine rice and add a little coconut milk to it. Boom—you've made coconut rice in 60 seconds!
