Botox, Filler, and Plastic Surgery: worth it?
An inside-out perspective from my perch at (almost) 41.
I admitted to the internet (well, my IG following) last week that I’d gotten lip filler for the first time last September. What followed that simple Instagram story was a deluge of DMs detailing favorite beauty “investments” and giggle-inducing thoughts on why we pay to have needles stuck in our faces. (Side note: your stories of filler gone wrong had me ROLLING with laughter. Please keep them coming if not purely for my own “laughing WITH you, not at you” form of entertainment).
These DMs felt so much like those sacred conversations I sometimes have with my closest girlfriends spilling our guts and giggling over the things NO one talks about (but we love when they do)! More (!!!) of this real-real talk, I say! I just love talking about the things we all think about but never speak aloud. : )
I am also a believer in you-do-you. As in: you are absolutely lovely just as you are. Aging in God’s perfect way is beautiful. And *IF* you feel closer to your best self with fewer laugh lines, fuller lips, or heck — breasts enhanced in any way by the magic of a surgeons hands — you do you.
“But what will you say to Caroline (my daughter) about this subject?
(some may wonder)
